New moles can also appear when your hormone levels change; this is why they usually develop during childhood, adolescence, or pregnancy.
To prevent new moles from developing due to sun exposure, use proper sunscreen and avoid sun exposure during peak hours (between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.) Wear hats for head protection, and wear clothes with UV-blocking materials like canvas, wool, or synthetic fabrics.
